Know how to register for individuals above 18 for covid vaccination

After two phases of vaccine programmes, the third phase for youngsters above 18+ was much awaited. The registration for receiving a COVID-19 vaccine jab is beginning on Wednesday (April 28, 2021).

On May 1, the COVID-19 vaccination drive will be facilitated to everyone above the age of 18, a decision that has been taken by the Centre to ensure that vast majority of the citizens avail the opportunity during these tough times.

After numerous citizens faced difficulty in registering register themselves for the COVID-19 vaccination, the Government has notified recently that the registration access would be given from 4 PM today (April 28, 2021).

The COVID-19 vaccination drive is considered to be efficient and right way to keep ourselves protected form the infection. Below is the stepwise guide for the third phase of COVID-19 vaccination via co-Win portal:

Step 1: Go to the co-Win portal by visiting the website https://www.cowin.gov.in/home

Step 2: You will see an option to ‘Register or Sign in yourself’. ‘Register with Aarogya Setu’. Click on either.

Step 3: You ought to keep your mobile handy. Enter your mobile number, and check for an OTP received to verify your phone number.

Step 4: Enter the OTP and validate within 3 minutes.

Step 5: After entering the OTP, it will lead you to a page where you need to fill in details yet include your name, age, gender, and area of residence.

Step 6: For identity proof, a photo Id will be required. Aadhar card, driving license, passport, etc can be provided. Please remember that your photo Id will be verified at the time of your vaccination appointment. So, furnish the details of the Photo Id you would carry for vaccination.

Step 7: After registering your address and entering the pin code, you get access to select hospitals in your area from which you can opt for your nearest one.

While going for vaccination on May 1st, every individual should keep in mind that he/she should wait for 30 minutes at the vaccination centre after getting the COVID-19inoculation. Inform the vaccination centre if any adverse effect(s) is experienced within 30 minutes.
