Kia Motors India (KMI) on Wednesday has donated Rs 5 Crore to the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) to take relief measures as part of the control of Covid-19 in the state.
Representatives of the company requested that the funds for the donation be used to procure medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, ventilators, cryogenic tankers and others.
The documents related to the donation transferred by NEFT were handed over to CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by Kookhyun Shim, Managing Director/CEO at KIA Motors India, at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. Ministers Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Mekapati Gautam Reddy and other representatives of Kia Motors.
It is worthy to mention that Kia Motors India donated Rs 2 crore to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in April 2020, when the country was battling the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
