Mass hero Ravi Teja’s new film, Khiladi under the direction of Ramesh Varma is out for public viewing today. Let’s check how it is.
Story:
In order to track ten thousand crores missing money case, CBI officer Arjun Bharadwaja (Arjun) will be after a guy named Mohan Gandhi(Ravi Teja). Why is CBI after Gandhi? How is Gandhi involved in the money laundering activity? Forms the rest of the story of the film.
On-screen talents:
Undoubtedly, Ravi Teja is a major asset for the film. His energetic performance and typical dialogue delivery breathes life to couple of key scenes. His performance in action sequences is a treat to watch for his fans.
Actor Arjun gets a meaty role as a CBI officer. His acting in a few crucial scenes is good. The confrontation episodes between Ravi Teja and Arjun are executed in a decent way.
Actress Anasuya is wasted as she is limited to some skinny scenes. Other artists such as Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore are also not utilized properly. Both the heroines Dimple Hayathi and Meenakshi Chaudhary are widely used for eye candy treat and their roles lack purposeful characterization.
Off-screen talents:
Director Ramesh Varma missed good opportunity as his taking and presentation is filled with cliches throughout the narrative.
Music by Devi Sri Prasad gives an outdated feel. Except for the title song, none of the songs or background registers.
While the cinematography is the only saving grace for the film as the entire film is showcased with a rich texture, editing work is poor.
Production values for this star-studded movie are good.
Positive Points:
Negative Points:
Verdict:
In an overview, Khiladi is a thriller that has nothing to offer. Though the proceedings look racy, the loopholes in the execution makes Khiladi a disappointing watch.
