The Telangana Rashtra Samithi supported the Bharatiya Janata Party and Narendra Modi in the 2019 elections, even though it is not an ally to the NDA government. Things had been good between the two parties until late last year, but everything started to go south after the BJP won a significant number of seats in the GHMC elections, and even went on to win the Huzurabad by-polls, with Etela Rajender joining the BJP.
Ever since then, Chief Minister KCR, and the other members of the TRS, have been attacking the BJP and PM Modi, at every chance they get, especially KCR, who has not been leaving a single opportunity to lash out at the PM. At a recent public meeting in Janagaon, KCR once again lashed out at the PM, saying that they would go to Delhi and bring down the walls of his fortress if the BJP doesn’t give the state what it promised.
KCR asked the PM not to underestimate the people of Telangana and even warned the PM that they would throw the PM out of the country if he fails to give Telangana what he promised. KCR has, however, spoken strategically, not mentioning the PM’s words in the Parliament, and talking only in a way as to entice the people of the state against the PM. The Telangana BJP hasn’t yet responded to the comments, and it is now to be seen what they will have to say to KCR’s comments.
