Karnataka CM Yediyurappa Launches mobile covid-19 testing kit

In the view of surge in the corona cases, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Thursday launched a Mobile COVID-19 Testing Kiosk in Bengaluru and assured that such mobile kiosks will be installed at different wards of Bengaluru in the coming days.

He launched a booth at his home office “Krishna” and said this initiative will be beneficial
for the swift collection and testing of the COVID-19 infection in identified clusters or hotspots.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar, Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya and Bengaluru central MP P.C. Mohan graced the occasion. MP Tejasvi Surya introduced this initiative in Karnataka with an expectation that the mobile testing kiosk uproots the inconvenience for highly risk patients who wants to visit the nearest hospital or clinic.

It facilitates in effective implementation of social distancing guidelines during collection and testing of samples, the MP said in a statement.

As per him, the booths have been created by Manoj P Kudtharkar of Mantra e-adventures, a startup situated in Bengaluru. Dr Vishal Rao, a member from the COVID-19 Consultative Group, an advisory body to Government of Karnataka, has mentored the task.

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences will extend support in scaling up the activities utilizing its network of colleges and clinics for testing the individuals, the MP said.

The booth which is 6.5 feet in stature and 3 feet in width is comprised of aluminium and acrylic glass, surfaces known to be safe against the coronavirus.
