Music composer Kalyani Malik, who belongs to the family of the very famous SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani, has been working in the industry for nearly 20 years. He is gearing up to entertain the audience with his music for the film Phalana Abbai Phalana Ammai. The movie is directed by Srinivas Avasarala and features Naga Shaurya and Malavika Nair in the lead roles.
The film marks Kalyani’s second collaboration with director Srinivas Avasarala, after Oohalu Gusagusalade. The songs that have been released from PAPA so far have been appreciated very well by the audiences, and continue to be appreciated very well Kalyani spoke about a lot of things, reflecting back on his journey in the industry. He said that while it saddens him that he could never become a commercial music director, he is still nevertheless happy with where he is currently.
Kalyani said that he’s happy that he ended up composing the music for PAPA, and said that Vivek Sagar, who was director Srinivas’s first choice, and Srinivas as well, ultimately appreciated him a lot for the music he gave. Vivek composed one song for the film.
Kalyani also said that he’s very happy about RRR’s Naatu Naatu going to the Oscars and said that he’s proud to be a part of the family of MM Keeravani.
