The much-anticipated global film “Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring the star Prabhas, was initially scheduled for release today. However, due to the bustling election season, the filmmakers have decided to postpone the premiere to June 27.
Today marks the 50-day countdown to the release of “Kalki.” Typically, the promotional activities for such high-profile and eagerly awaited films begins two to three months in advance. Fans have voiced their concerns regarding the delay in the promotional activities for “Kalki.”
To date, the film has not released any songs or visual previews, yet it has managed to generate significant excitement. Yet, industry analysts and movie enthusiasts suggest that it’s time for the “Kalki” team to kickstart their promotional campaign.
Prabhas’s last movie, “Salaar,” was a blockbuster, but missed even more huge prospects due to the lack of proper promotions. This has led to suggestions that “Kalki” should have high level of promotional effort.
With the release just 50 days away, it would be strategic to unveil the teaser and trailer in quick succession to amplify the film’s reach among the audience. Director Nag Ashwin is currently immersed in the post-production process.
