Netflix is putting in its best efforts to expand its viewer base in India. The OTT giant is in talks with Bollywood, and regional filmmakers and is expected to role out more content for domestic audience in the near future.
The latest update is that Netflix is planning to rope in Kajal Aggarwal for one of its forthcoming web series which is said to be a remake of ‘Quantico’.
‘Quantico’ is an American thriller series which had Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in a prominent role. Now, Netflix is planning to remake the web series with Indian actors and has approached Kajal to play lead role in it.
‘Quantico’ is all about the journey of young FBI agents who travel to a dedicated base to undergo training in their pursuit of becoming special agents. It is a decent enough hit in America.
If everything goes well, Kajal will be reprising the role of Priyanka Chopra in the web series. This will be her maiden web series.
Reportedly, the series will be made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and a few other Indians languages.
