Ahead of the municipal polls, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy made a sensational statement on behalf of the state government regarding the Judicial Capital, Kurnool.
Buggana Rajendranath said that the trial of 3 capitals is currently underway in the state high court and the construction of the high court at Jagannathgutta in Kurnool will begin once the state government receives the approval from the high court. H
e said that the government has selected 250 acres of land in the Jagannathgutta area for the establishment of a judicial capital in Kurnool. This includes the High Court building as well as the judges’ quarters and other structures.
In fact, despite the Panchayat-Municipal-Parishad elections, there have been constant announcements from the state government to entice the voters. It remains to be seen how state election commissioner, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar will react to this as this comes under violation of the election code.
