The comment made by YSR Congress MLA Jogi Ramesh during the panchayat election campaign in Neelipudi village in Kruthivennu zone under Pedana constituency has caused a stir. He had threatened the people that the welfare schemes from the government will not be applied if nominations are made against the ruling party.
There was a state-wide controversy over the matter. However, the threats of MLA Jogi Ramesh did not work in Neelipudi village. Janasena supporters won 10 out of 10 wards in the village. Also, the Janasena party-backed candidate won the sarpanch position. It seems like the people were expressing anger over MLA in this way. There are a total of 1,408 votes in Neelipudi village. It seems that over a thousand votes were cast for Janasena-backed candidate Pasham Krishna and 270 votes were cast for YCP supporters.
