One cannot deny the fact that Pawan Kalyan’s support helped the TDP to form the government in 2014. Even TDP leaders accepted it in several instances in the past. But the things went wrong so soon and Janasena had started going against the TDP.
During the election campaigns, Pawan even pledged to bring down the TDP government. As he expected, TDP miserably failed in retaining the government.
Interacting with Rajahmundry Parliamentary Leaders and JanaSainiks, Pawan Kalyan, referring to TDP, said that Janasena may not have the power to form the government, but it can stop a party from forming the government.
Pawan Kalyan considers that his campaigns showed a huge impact on the debacle of TDP. But the actor turned politician is ignoring the fact that if his campaigns really had so much impact among the public, then his party Janasena would have at least witnessed a considerable number of seats.
But the party chief itself had lost in both the constituencies he contested from and the party registered not more than 7% vote share in the state. So, Pawan’s statement about TDP, that he was the reason to bring down the party, may not be valid.

TDP’s failure in retaining the government, was due to the pure negligence of Chandrababu Naidu in several aspects like special status, capital city construction etc. He faced a severe backlash from all the sides. Adding to it, YSRCP Chief Jagan was able to impress a large section of the public, with his Padayatra. Even his party’s manifesto was found poor friendly and impressive to all sections of public.
So it is several such factors that made TDP to get down from the chair, but not merely due to Pawan Kalyan’s call. It would be better, if the Janasena Chief rechecks his statements, before making it go for the trolls on the social media.
