Janasena announces launch of newspaper

In the current situation, it almost seems impossible for any political party to sustain in politics for long, without support from the media. Both the big parties of Andhra Pradesh- TDP and YSRCP have their respective channels and newspapers to back them and mask up their faults from time to time and also highlight the positive side of the parties.

On the other side, the same media will also be useful to mudsling on the opposition parties and try to distort the facts. This is what happened in case of the Janasena Party in the last five years. The party which was formed in 2014 initially supported TDP in the immediate elections and later went against the same party and tried to emerge as a strong third option in the state.

While several anticipated that the massive crowd puller like Pawan Kalyan, will be able to emerge as a king maker in 2019 elections, shockingly, Janasena had to face a miserable defeat with just one assembly seat in hand. Adding to it, the party chief itself had lost in both the constituencies he contested from.

The main stream media channels have rarely covered the political campaigns of Janasena or any other activities of the party in the last five years, which is also one of the reasons of  why the party had to face a horrible defeat in the elections, as the public is unaware of what is exactly going on with the new party.

Pawan Kalyan, who was away from the cameras after the elections, finally came forward today and conducted a review meeting in Mangalagiri party office. Later, the party’s official social media handle has released a note, announcing that a newspaper is going to be launched soon to promote Janasena political activities.

As running a TV channel was found expensive for Pawan Kalyan, he came up with an idea of newspaper. The first edition of the same will be released in September.

But it should be noted that, in the fast growing internet world, the percentage of people who pick up newspapers to read news is very low. However, it is still being considered as a good idea, as there would at least be one platform for Janasena, to highlight its political activities.
