Pawan Kalyan established his political party, Jana Sena, in 2014, and to this day, the party has completed 8 years. Pawan didn’t take part in the 2014 elections, given that the party had just launched at the time, and according to the party’s chairman, political affairs committee of the JSP, Nadendla Manohar, it’s been a great learning experience for the party since then, going through many ups and downs, and getting to know the field and the state much better.
Nadendla Manohar said that the Jana Sena would be upping its game in the upcoming 20214 elections and that the party intends to be a clear alternative for the people of the state. He said that the party has formed district committees and that they hope to complete the process of village committees by April end. This is expected to give the party a basic structure to reach out across the state in a unified manner whenever necessary.
Jana Sena started out as an ally to the Telugu Desam Party but chose to not be allied ahead of the 2019 elections, as the party felt the TDP didn’t do justice to the people. While the Jana Sena is currently allied with the BJP, Nadendla Manohar strongly indicated that the party would be going ahead individually for the 2024 elections, before which they plan to do strong groundwork.
