The upcoming municipal elections are turning up the heat to the highest in Andhra Pradesh. The Vijayawada elections have especially caught the attention of all political parties, including the ruling YSRCP‘s, which is making sure that it wins the Vijayawada municipality.
The Chief Minister has already instructed his party members to win at least 90% of all the corporation seats. If this happens, then speculations are rife, saying that Jgan will consider this to be a nod from the people of Andhra Pradesh, regarding the 3 Capital idea.
With the municipal elections closing in, CM Jagan is said to have written a letter to the Railway Minister, asking him to hand over the land that belongs tot he Railways, in Vijayawada. This land is in Rajarajeswaripet, and 800 families have encroached this land and have been living there for many years now. Jagan is also said to have offered to provide lands in Ajithsingnagar, to the Railways, as compensation, so that the people living in Rajarajeswaripet can continue to live there without any problem.
This letter is certainly causing a lot of political discussions, with opposition parties wondering what other plans the YSRCP has, to gain the attention and votes of the people. Several members belonging to rival parties are saying that the timing of the letter cannot be ignored, and it is very clear from it that this is being done by the ruling party just for the votes of the people.
