Jagan’s government to once again approach SC for this!

The Andhra Pradesh government has met with continuous disappointments from the Supreme Court, with respect to the judgements passed unfavorably by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Every single time the AP government did not like the HC’s verdict, it approached the SC, hoping that the SC would side with the government. However, this has not been the case even a single time. The SC has supported the HC on almost every occasion, and chose not to interfere otherwise.

Despite so many setbacks from the SC, the AP government is reportedly considering approaching the SC yet again, over the dispute of the construction of a State Guest house in Kapuluppada, near Visakhapatnam. After several Public Interest Litigation petitions filed against the construction of a guest house at Kapuluppada, the High Court gave a stay order on the construction of the guest house.

The government reportedly feels that the construction of the guest house at Kapuluppada is purely an administrative decision, and that it has nothing to do with the shifting of the Capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. This is also reportedly one of the main reasons why the government feels that the interference of the High Court is unnecessary in the issue.

On Saturday, Amaravati Joint Action Committee leader Gadde Tirupati Rao filed yet another PIL to the AP HC, against the construction of the guest house at Kapuluppada. In the petition, he stated that the construction of a guest house at a site that was allocated to the Greyhounds police wing is illegal. He even added that the Rs 1,000 Crores that was spent for the training of the Greyhound police wing in the land would go to absolute waste if the government constructs a guest house.

It is now to be seen if the AP government continues to go ahead with its plan to approach the SC, and what the SC would say to that.
