Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is about to retire from his post by the end of this month. Before that even happens itself, the Jagan government has started its process of selecting the next SEC.
The YSRCP government has reportedly finalised three names and sent the same to the Governor of AP, Biswabhusan Harichandan. Of these three people, the governor will be selecting the right candidate for the job.
On the other hand, there’s also the chance that Ramesh Kumar might opt for an extension as the SEC by a few weeks, given that he was replaced by Justice Kanga Raju as the SEC, for a few weeks, when he was still the SEC of AP, because of the conflict he had with the AP government.
