Roja, one of the most aggressive leaders of YSRCP was anticipated to get inducted into Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cabinet as a minister. But shockingly, Roja’s name was not found in the list and aggrieved over this, she stayed away from the oath taking ceremony of the ministers yesterday and refused to list the phone calls.
Noticing the situation, Jagan is now considering to offer a key position in YSRCP to Roja. The reports are rife that, the young CM is keen to appoint Roja as State Women Commission Chairperson.
Currently, the new CM is consulting Advocate General to know whether it is possible to appoint an MLA as a Chairperson of Women Commission, as the post requires the occupant to work beyond the parties. Nannapaneni Rajakumari is currently acting as the chairperson, while Jagan is planning to replace her with Roja, if there’s a legal possibility.
More than YSRCP Chief Jagan, Roja had to face several insults from TDP government earlier. She stood as one of the strong pillars of the party and her victory as an MLA was considered as inevitable.
After the actress turned politician emerged victorious, she was anticipated to be part of the cabinet for the kind of contribution she did to the party. But as a candidate from her constituency was also already picked into the cabinet and there are many others who were waiting for the opportunity, Jagan had to skip Roja.
