After scrapping 5% reservation for the Kapu community, the Andhra Pradesh government had to face severe negativity from the Kapus. So to console them, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had now appointed a committee to look into it. But the YSRCP leaders still say that the committee is just a formality and has no chances for resuming Kapu quota.
TDP had to face a bitter defeat in the recent elections, with just 23 assembly and 3 Lok Sabha seats in hand. In spite of such negativity, a majority of BCs voted to TDP. Jagan is now concentrating on such vote bank. In fact, he scrapped Kapu quota only to impress BCs.
Adding to it, Jagan is also not in a mood to forgo Kapu voters, as they constitute the biggest vote bank. So he is planning to give ample funds to the Kapu Corporation.
On the other side, though Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan belongs to the Kapu community, he never really represented Kapus and also said that he is into the politics to move forward against the caste, religion and other discrimination. So there is no way that any of the Kapus would stand behind Pawan Kalyan, unless he takes a strong voice in support of them.

So, now as the only choice left was TDP, will Kapus tilt towards it or get satisfied with the funds, the state government is planning for them, is to be seen.
