Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3, which had been started amidst of huge expectations, could not live up to any such expectations. The first week of the show, ended up as a dud. So the organizers are anticipating that it would get the boost with the entry of a transgender Tamanna Simhadri.
She had been a popular news figure in the past, in the controversial Sri Reddy’s issue. Apart from it, she also has a good background, which not many are aware of.
Tamanna Simhadri alias Simhadri Mastan is born in a Hindu family. Her parents offered prayers in a Dargah, due to which they had to name her as Mastan. Hailing from Avanigadda, a village in Krishna district, Tamanna was raised in Vijayawada. Her father Simhadri Nageswara Rao was a farmer and mother Nirmala was a homemaker. She also has an elder brother.
Highly passionate about films, Tamanna tried her luck in Telugu film industry, but all such attempts were failed and she later moved to Mumbai. Though originally born as a boy, she was much interested to see herself as a girl, due to which she got converted into a girl in Mumbai and participated in a fashion show, in which she also stood first, as claimed by her.
But she was not happy with the way, the things are moving in Mumbai, which made her get back to Hyderabad again. It was then she met Sri Reddy and was part of a few of the initial protests she conducted against the casting couch in film industry.
But when Sri Reddy went against Pawan Kalyan, the transgender being a hardcore fan of the Power Star, exposed Sri Reddy, by leaking a phone recording to the media. It was then Tamanna attained a huge craze in the media and she decided to continue it, by contesting in the elections.
While she initially planned to contest from Janasena in Mangalagiri, the party had to give the constituency seat to the communist parties, upon the tie-ups. So, Tamanna contested as an independent candidate in Mangalagiri and severely went against Lokesh. So she again attained publicity through her criticisms on the then CM’s son. But that publicity couldn’t spill any votes from the public for her.

Now her entry into the Bigg Boss 3 is being considered as a great opportunity. While she pledged to be till the finals, it should be seen, whether the mega reality show will boost her career in films, in any manner or not.
