Vishakapatnam has been the strong fort for the TDP for the last two decades and even in 2019 general elections, the opposition party managed to secure 4 assembly seats in the valiant Jagan’s storm.
On the other side, Jagan Mohan Reddy is aiming to nullify the TDP’s impact in any part of the state and as a pilot project he wiped out the entire TDP cadre in his home district YSR Kadapa.
Now as the Vishakapatnam mayor post has turned out as a prestigious one for the two major political parties in the state, Jagan is leaving no stone unturned to show his dominance in the state.
Hence, the AP CM unofficially launched ‘Operation Aakarsh’ under which most of the TDP’s prominent leaders in the Vizag were lured into the YSRCP party and even in the local body elections no TDP leader has shown any interest in filing nominations and the YCP cadre is in full josh with the unanimous results.
This is a worrying sign for Chandrababu as there will be a lot of increase in pressure for the residing TDP leaders in the other regions of the state and the question is how long CBN can protect his remaining leaders and how can he build his empire to fight the most powerful Jagan
