In a bid to leave any stone unturned, the YSRCP President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy promise the people of the state of issuing Universal Health Cards (UHC) whose annual income doesn’t exceed Rs five lakh.
He announced this at a massive rally in Guntur on Friday. He said the objective of the scheme was to target, hitherto neglected middle-class families to benefit.
Taking a cue from his late father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s ‘Arogya Sree”, he said the UHC cards wil be applicable to avail any medical expense over Rs 1,000. He promises to supervise its implementation effectively, once he takes over the reins as Chief Minister.
The scheme to set to cover 75 per cent of the state’s population, he claimed. The beneficiaries include, besides middle class families, but also small businessmen, private and government employees.
Referring to the growing unemployment and Naidu government’s failure, he said his government will not only encourage investors in big way to create employment opportunities to skilled and unskilled, but also fill up vacant posts in various government departments. According to him, there are 1,42,000 vacant posts to be filled up. He said this may shoot up over 2 lakh with so many government employees attaining superannuation.
He appealed to youth to repose confidence in him and his party, which assures to fulfill all promises made to them, once voted to power.
He also assured the students community, especially BCs, SCs and STs, who were denied of fee reimbursement by the present Naidu’s TDP government will be streamlined. He said his government would also improve the infrastructure in government schools.
