Jagan confident, Naidu complains! What’s cooking?

The polling for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh has finally come to an end on Thursday.

Since morning Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was mostly seen complaining about the EVMs and other disturbances in a few of the key constituencies of TDP, whereas YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy did not come up with any such complaints and maintained silence since morning. But right after concluding the polls, Jagan expressed his confidence in winning in the elections and forming the government.

Speaking to the media, Jagan said that people were no more in a mood of retaining TDP government and so had moved to the polling booths in large numbers and registered a record 80% voting share.

Several EVMs failed to work in Gajuwaka where Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan is contesting from and also Mangalgiri, where Nara Lokesh is contesting. The analysts opine that the Central government joined hands with YSRCP, in making sure both Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh loose in their respective constituencies or win with very less majority and thus intended to send wrong signals to the public.

Aggrieved over the negligence of the electoral officials in Mangalagiri, Nara Lokesh is currently protesting against them, in front of the polling booth and is demanding to extend the polling time. The situation is same in Gajuwaka too, as the voters have turned out in large numbers and so the electoral officials with no option left had to continue the voting. Meanwhile, there is not even a single EVM that went non-working in Telangana MP elections today and surprisingly all the troubles have been witnessed in AP itself

The analysts opine that these kind of situations clearly prove that YSRCP with the support of Modi, is trying to suppress the voters of other parties and thus aiming at forming Jagan’s government in the state.  There is a grave danger to the democracy with the incidents like these, the experts say.
