Jagan and Chandrababu to come face to face outside assembly?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu have gone face to face with each other in the past, but only during the assembly sessions.

Outside of that, they have always taken digs at each other in the absence of the second person and maintained their distance. However, this might now change, with the Human Rights Commission meeting coming up.

According to the rules, this meeting should comprise of the Chief Minister, the Speaker of the Assembly, Mandal Chairman, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and the Legislative Council, as well as the Home Minister.

Since not complying with these rules would result in the judiciary sending notices to the government, the government has to comply and carry on the meeting with all the above-mentioned members. In this meeting, the Chairman of the Human rights Commission, along with its members will be decided.

Jagan will be heading this meeting, with Chandrababu as the Leader of the Opposition, Sucharita as the Home Minister, Tammineni as the Speaker of the Assembly, Sharif as the Mandal Chairman and Yanamala as the Mandal’s Leader of the Opposition.

This means that there will be 3 YSRCP members and 3 TDP members in the meeting, making it one of the most volatile meetings in the history of Andhra Pradesh politics.

For now, the meeting is scheduled to take place on the 17th of this month. This is not to say that there wouldn’t be any postponements to that, and this is also not to say that it will happen.

Given that the YSRCP and TDP share one of the worst political bonds, this meeting is causing a lot of interest among political analysts, and the people as well.
