Since the formation of TDP, this is the first time, the party is staying away from the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana. While a few opine that the insulting debacle in the recent assembly elections was a reason, few others opine that Lakshmi’s NTR could also be one of the reason.
Ram Gopal Varma’s Lakshmi’s NTR has hit the theaters across the world, including Telangana. But the film’s release was halted in Andhra Pradesh as the TDP insiders have brought a stay from the high court, blaming that the film would influence the voters.

Lakshmi’s NTR film is based on NTR’s real life story after Lakshmi Parvathi entered into his life. During that period, Chandrababu Naidu was allegedly against her and so he allegedly ditched NTR to become the Chief Minister. This part of the film was expected to trouble TDP and so they did their best in stopping the film’s release in Andhra. But if the film is stopped, doesn’t it hint the voters that what RGV showcased in the film was true and won’t it impact the voters is a question.
Adding to it, the film’s release in Telangana had no obstacles and had directly hit the theaters today amidst of huge expectations. Now the experts opine that Naidu might have expected much before, that he cannot halt the movie release in Telangana and so he might have stayed away from the Lok Sabha elections, unwilling the face a bitter defeat one more time, after the assembly elections.
