Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to attend the meeting of the National Judicial Infrastructure Authority of India in Delhi on April 30, which he would be attending along with the AP high court chief justice Prashant Kumar Mishra, representing the State. The conference would be attended and addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Justice of India, Justice N V Ramana. The chief ministers of all states and the chief justices of all high courts are also scheduled to attend the conference.
Given that this is a huge conference, which sees the attendance of the executive and judicial bodies of the country, everyone is expecting Jagan to take the opportunity and talk to PM Modi and CJI Ramana, about shifting the AP High Court to Kurnool, which Jagan plans to make the judicial capital. While the President’s signature would be required to shift the HC, it is the PM and the CJI who have the major say in the issue.
The 3 capitals idea has been one of the most integral ideas that the YSRCP government put forth since it came to power, and it is something that the government doesn’t seem interested in going back on. As a result, it is expected that the CM would make sure to take this chance and see it happen. It should now be seen what will happen in the end, and if Jagan and the YSRCP are really that determined about AP having 3 capitals.
