The High Court has expressed dissatisfaction over the steps being taken by the AP government to curb the spread of Covid in the state. The High court said that in the previous affidavit, the government stated that there was no shortage of oxygen in the state, but the nodal officers are complaining that currently there is no oxygen and beds in the state. The High court expressed dissatisfaction that the calculations in the AP government’s affidavit were inconsistent with the actual situation. The High Court has heard a petition filed by social activist Thota Suresh Babu, APCLA.
A pro-government lawyer briefed the court on the steps taken by the state government to control the corona. The High court is continuing its inquiry into the aspects like availability of beds and the collection of fees in private hospitals.
