Telangana Chief Minister KCR is trying his absolute best in bringing together the leaders of all the opposition parties in the country against their common enemy: the Bharatiya Janata Party. He wants to challenge the BJP’s dominance at the national level and dethrone the BJP and Narendra Modi. However, his trials have been met with a lukewarm response at best thus far.
He recently visited Delhi, where he met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, and is set to go to Bengaluru on May 27th to meet former Prime MinisterHD Deve Gowda, the leader of Janata Dal. Prior to all this, KCR met with various other leaders, including the CMs of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
It is now being said that KCR is planning to nominate the candidature of anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare, in the upcoming Presidential elections, against the BJP’s candidature. Given that the BJP is just short of having a majority, it is being said that KCR is trying to assert his hand as much as he can. Moreover, with the Congress party abstaining from nominating any candidate, it is also expected that the party would not object to Hazare’s candidature. On the other hand, the BJP is expected to nominate Venkaiah Naidu as its Presidential candidate, and the BJP is also expected to take the support of parties like the YSRCP for the Presidential elections.
