Cricket lovers are eagerly waiting to witness the Indian Premier League action, which is going to commence next month. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, last year, the BCCI shifted the 13th edition of the richest T20 tournament to UAE and held the game in three venues: Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Now, the BCCI zeroed on the 6 venues in India where bio-bubbles will be created. As per reports, the 14th edition of the IPL will be held across 6 venues in India from April 9 to May 30.
The apex cricket body picked Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai to go ahead with the latest edition of the tournament. The bio-secure environments will be created in the venues and it will be a 52-day tournament with 60 matches overall.
After the pandemic hit the Country bad, the BCCI has successfully conducted domestic tournaments like Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy in bio-secure bubbles, while the ongoing India-England series is also being played in bio-secure conditions. So, there will be no stopping for this year’s IPL in India.
