With the continuation of 3 rd phase of covid-19 vaccine Covishield commencing from March 1, Centre has given access to beneficiaries to register through website www.cowin.gov.in for selecting vacccine centres at their choice.
A user care guide for citizens to register and book their appointment has been uploaded on the websites of the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the National Health Authority (NHA).
Citizens can go to http://www.cowin.gov.in to register themselves or via the Aarogya Setu app that has CoWIN app integration. There is no CoWIN app available on Play Store for registration as the app is for administrators only. The registrations opened at 9 AM on March 1 and will be open only till 3 PM every day.
Here is the step by step process to register:
• Login to www.cowin.gov.in
• Enter valid mobile number to receive OTP
• Once OTP is validated, the “Registration of Vaccination”
page appears
• Enter mandatory details: Name, Photo ID number and
proof, Year of birth, Gender, Comorbidities
• Click on register
• Once registered, citizen can add 3 more people in
“Account Details”
Then, click on schedule appointment button
Enter State, District, Block and Pin Code from the
dropdown
Search for Vaccination centre and select your choice
• Check time and availability, and book your slot
• Click confirm and “Appointment Successful” message will be displayed
