YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is focussing on the most prominent step after the three capital approval from the governor. As the AP High court extended the stay on the governor’s clearance on the capital decentralization bill, in the meanwhile, Jagan wants to target Guntur, Krishna and Prakasam district people who are very agitated with the YSRCP.
As a part of the above-mentioned context, Jagan started to shift leaders in Prakasam district here and there. One of the most important constituencies in Prakasam is Chirala and actually YSRCP lost in this constituency in 2019 assembly elections. However, Chirala MLA Karanam Balaram shifted his base to the YSRCP along with his son. And now Jagan is in the mood to act as per the leader’s strength.
There has been a rumor that nothing is good between Aamanchi Krishna Mohan, the most powerful in Prakasam district and Karanam Balaram. Of course, Karanam’s interest lies in Addanki constituency in which TDP MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar has a strong base that is fighting with his arch-rival Bachina Krishna Chaitanya.
Coming to Chirala, Jagan wants to give the entire responsibilities of Chirala to Aamanchi who is very capable to act according to Jagan’s interests. Now, Jagan is willing to give Paruchur constituency to Balaram which consists majority of Kammas. Balarama won as MLA from Paruchur once (Martur is in Paruchur) and Balaram is positive towards Jagan’s decision.
So, it is clear that Jagan Mohan Reddy has developed some fear about these three coastal districts which are capable to change the context of the AP political system within a short period and Jagan is leaving no stone unturned to bring the situation under control. Will he succeed eventually?
