Earlier, parents and faculty opined that it is high time that the National Testing Agency (NTA) release Joint Entrance Main schedule for Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBE). Many parents urged that the exams be conducted in April so that it would not interfere with the competitive exam preparation.
A proposal to conduct exams in April third week has been sent by the education committee secretary previously to get approval from the higher authorities.
The Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2021 are likely to be held from the last week of April till mid-May after two months of regular classes, which will start from February. However, students have to attend practical examinations in prior, which are said to be conducted in the second week of April. A BIE official said that the schedules for both intermediate theory and practical exams will be declared by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) soon.
Before the theory exams, practical exams will be held. With the State government permitting educational institutions to reopen for Classes IX and above from February 1, the BIE is now planning to release the IPE fee notification.
An official said about a minor change in exam pattern that the board would give additional choices in respective sections of the question paper. For example, students can choose three out of seven questions instead of three out of five.
