Russian’s answer to Covid-19, Sputnik-5 is getting heavy demand all over the world. Around 20 countries have placed their orders for this vaccine. As Russia doesn’t have a high vaccine manufacturing facility, the nation approached India for help. As per the details, Russia got orders for around 120 Crore doses. India, Cuba, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Turkey will be jointly manufacturing the Sputnik-5 vaccines along with Russia.
In India, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories took up the task of doing the clinical trails for the vaccine. Indian Pharma is all moving the pawns to help the world with the vaccine doses and the bulk order of Sputnik-5 is creating new employment opportunities in this tough phase.
Apart from the Russia’s vaccine, UK and few other countries were actively developing Covid-19 vaccines. Indian Pharma companies were working closely with various countries to make sure that the doses will get manufactured as and when ready. The next 4 quarters will be the busiest for Indian Pharma.
