India heading towards another LOCKDOWN?

It seems the devil is back. Yes the recent developments in the country are raising doubts that the intensity of the COVID spread has increased once again. Call it ‘Second Wave’ or ‘Third Wave’ but it may hit mankind much harder this time. Still, the Lockdown-5 is active but the people have gone into the full unlock mode longtime back.

The number of cases has been rising again ever since people took to the roads in violation of the rules. The number of cases is increasing in states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. With that, the suspicions are raising whether another Lockdown will be in place.

In the last 24 hours, 45,000 new coronavirus cases have been reported in the country. In Delhi, 6,000 cases have been registered for five days in a row. Maharashtra and Kerala also registered 5500 thousand new cases. About 4,000 cases have been registered in West Bengal. Thousands of new cases are being reported in each state. About 450 people were killed in the country in a single day on Wednesday.

A night curfew was also imposed in Punjab in view of the seriousness of the cases. The sanctions will take effect on December 1. The Maharashtra government is also moving towards curfew. A public interest litigation has also erupted in the court over Chief Minister Uttam Thackeray’s statement that he would lock down if any one violates the rules without caring the guidelines.

It seems the government may incline towards another lockdown before everything goes out of hand. On the other side, the people who have accustomed themselves back to normalcy will find it difficult to cope with another lockdown.
