Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy did not at least react after the central government’s announcement that the Visakhapatnam steel plant would be 100 percent privatized.
Ayyanna called on the parties to take up the fight against the privatization of Visakhapatnam steel. He said 40,000 people were directly dependent on the steel plant and one lakh people indirectly. He called on the people to be united in preventing privatization. He made a key statement that if CM Jagan fights for Visakhapatnam steel, they too will walk under his leadership.
He said the Centre’s decision to sell such a project was cruel. It is suspected that Jagan is also buying the steel plant under the direction of Vijaya Sai Reddy.
