The farmers of various tribal groups in several villages of Adilabad district in Maharashtra have demanded that it has been 73 years since independence and there is no development in their villages since then. To this end, farmers of several villages in Maharashtra’s Kinwat and Mahor talukas submitted a petition to the Nanded district collector.
They said they were 300 km from the district headquarters Nanded and therefore there is no development in their villages. They demanded the reunification of their villages in Telangana, which were now in Maharashtra. If the government does not respond, they said that they will go to the president and put pressure on the government.
