It is known that the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu had recently sent feelers to BJP, by saying that it was a mistake to go against the Lotus Party, before the elections.
Now the BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao has surprisingly responded positively to Naidu’s indirect proposal. The Rajya Sabha member said that he is ready to mediate between TDP and BJP’s high command, if Chandrababu Naidu is willing to merge Telugu Desam in BJP.
Founded by the legendary NTR, TDP has a historical significance in AP politics. It is true that the party had to face a miserable defeat in the recent elections, but that doesn’t make it useless. It is to be remembered that the party has earned a 40% vote share even it lost and the BJP on the other side, did not even get 1% in the AP. It clearly indicates that the AP people have rejected the Lotus Party on an outright basis.

Ignoring to give special status, even after promising, is what made the AP people hate BJP like anything. Naidu also protested against the national party and made severe criticisms. In this situation, if he chooses to maintain friendly relations with the BJP, then there are every chances for TDP to face even more miserable position in the coming days.
