Hyderabad police have conducted a Drunken Drive inspection in March in various parts of the Hyderabad Commissionerate.
Police have registered a large number of drunk and drive cases. In total, drunk and drive cases were registered against 1917 people in Hyderabad.
The accused were produced in court and the court sentenced 58 members to 2 days to 9 days to jail. At the same time, heavy fines were levied.
A fine of Rs 1,99,56,300 was levied on the remaining 1,859. Three men have been sentenced to nine days in jail for over drunk and repeatedly violating the rules.
Ten were sentenced to seven days, 25 to five days, and 20 to two days in jail. Recently, three people died due to drunk and drive.
