The Huzurabad constituency is the only constituency that is going to be up for by-elections under totally political circumstances. So far, all the by-polls that took place in Telangana were due to the passing away of the MLA of that constituency. However, the Huzurabad constituency came up for by-polls after the TRS dismissed Etala Rajender as a member of the Assembly, and as a Minister.
Winning the Huzurabad constituency is going to be a matter of high political interest for both KCR and Etala. Winning Huzurabad means that KCR will have once again proved to everyone that the people of the state are still on the side of the CM, and on the side of TRS. For Etala, winning Huzurabad means that the people of that constituency trust him the most and believe in his innocence.
More than any of this, Etala winning Huzurabad could prove to be a major problem for TRS as there are many members in the TRS that are dissatisfied and have been trying to find the right time to make their exit. If Etala wins Huzurabad, all of these members will get the fuel they need, and it would turn out to be a major disappointment for KCR and TRS.
There are several members who are expecting MLC seats, as 21 MLC are expected to fall vacant by June 16th. Kadiyam Srihari, Kotireddy, Sirikonda Madhusuudhanachary and former MLC Karne Prabhakar are some of the people expecting to be made MLCs. If Etala manages to win the by-polls, and if these leaders are not satisfied by the TRS, then there are high chances these members would come out.
