Huge challenge ahead of YS Jagan..!

New industries are going to establish in AP with thousands of crores rupees. How long it has been since we have heard such a positive statement in an economically ruined state like Andhra Pradesh. Yes, it has been long back and CBN, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh really did play a number on the AP people before then only to run the state on loans.

Later Jagan took over the reins from him and even the habit of lending loans to run the state and pay the salaries to employees. Now, some private companies are ready to establish their centres in the state with some solid capital. State Industries Minister Gautam Reddy has said that Adani Data Center and Apache will set up their units in the state with Rs 20,000 crore.

The minister also added that Taiwanese companies were ready to set up eco-friendly, electric industries. Taiwan is keen on setting up a Center for Artificial Intelligence and Excellence. It is going to set up a data center with Rs 15,000 crore. The center, to be set up on 130 acres, will provide employment to about 25,000 people. Its companies, such as Apache, are expected to provide employment to 40,000 people soon. However, it is a good omen that domestic and foreign industries are coming to invest in the troubled state after the partition.

This is such a tricky situation for the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy who still has some conflicts with the neighbouring state, Telangana. Chandra Babu, in the past made a few of these deals after the state partition which didn’t work out in the actual scene. On the other side, Jagan should be careful with the management of these industries and providing employment to 65,000 people at once or in phases is no joke.

Not to be too pessimistic, Jagan being the 1st time CM has entered into the actual game and the way he manages this crucial situation writes the fate of the state economically. According to government sources, shipping industries, pharma industries and seafood export industries are coming up based on the seafront between Vizag and Nellore.

Integrated development of the state is possible if the industries of interest are brought to all the districts of the state according to their capacity, need and opportunities and not in one place. Otherwise there is a risk that the rest of the regions will face the same problems that the AP faced during the partition of the state.
