How COVID saved Jagan big time.?

For the past few days there has been a discussion in the AP political circles that the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has finally backed off on the abolition of the legislative council. Apparently, Jagan Mohan Reddy sent some of those closest to him to the Legislature. Others are guaranteed to be given MLC positions.

That said, there is a doubt that Jagan has backed down on the council’s recommendation to dissolve. Let us remind you of the past. The Assembly unanimously approved the proposal for the abolition of the CRDA and three capitals. Because of their overwhelming support for themselves in the council, TDP members have opposed without even giving a chance to at least debate on the bills.

We all know how dramatic things have turned around and Jagan even sent his recommendation to the parliament for the dissolution of the council. The Assembly’s recommendation must be approved by both Houses of Parliament. Only then will it be signed by the President. In fact the abolition or renewal of the Legislature is entirely at the discretion of the State Government.

Although the NDA council was dissolved in the past, the council was revived during the reign of the late CM YSR and everything went according to the recommendations of the state government. But now, it is a different scenario. When Jagan has to take a stand against the BJP which has been the saviour of the state for months by grants various funds to the state, the COVID situation happened and no parliamentary sessions were held.

So, even the AP people and media forgot about this issue and now Jagan who is very confident about another clinical victory in 2024 elections might want to back off from his once-a-serious-decision. On the other side, no one has any idea when the parliamentary session will take place. As the days went by, it seems that Jagan also reconsidered the cancellation. Because TDP MLCs are resigning. TDP MLCs Pothula Sunita and Dokka Manikyavaraprasad have resigned.

It is learned that Shivanadha Reddy is also ready to resign. So for various reasons the TDP strength in the council is declining and the YCP strength is increasing. The YCP is expected to get an absolute majority in the council by the end of 2022. Doubts are growing as to whether Jagan has backed down on the council’s decision to dissolve completely or not.
