The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday dismissed the quash petition filed by former TDP MLA and Sangam Dairy chairman Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar. The TDP leader filed the petition over his judicial remand, which was given by the ACB court.
The High court directed the ACB to file its counter affidavit and adjourned the hearing to May 5.
For the unversed, Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar and managing director, P. Gopala Krishnan were booked for doing various financial and administrative irregularities in Sangam Dairy, which was established in 1973.
Lawyers on behalf of Narendra Kumar and Gopala Krishnan urged the HC to cancel the ACB judge’s order as it was against the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Section.167 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 has not been complied with.
Dhulipalla has been moved to the Rajahmundry Central Jail already and he will be staying in prison for the full 14-day term.
