Hand over Nayeem case to CBI: Padmanabhareddy

Recently, the Forum for Good Governance Secretary Padmanabhareddy demanded that the case gangster Nayeem case be re-investigated by the CBI. To this end, he wrote a four-page letter to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Telangana. It mentions Naeem’s anarchy, his linkages, and the report of the SIT investigation.

The Forum for Good Governance said the SIT, set up by the government for a comprehensive inquiry into Nayeem’s case, had misled the case for a number of reasons. It is suspected that this was done with the intention of saving the culprits.

Nayeem has assets worth crores of rupees in Telangana as well as Chhattisgarh, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, where it is not easy to coordinate with the police and conduct investigations, Padmanabhareddy said. In the letter, Padmanabhareddy said that the only solution for punishing the real culprits in Nayeem’s case is only through handing over it to the CBI.
