Hamsanandini’s inspiring story on braving cancer

Hamsanandini is a well known actress in the Telugu states, who has been seen in several big budget movies and alongside top actors of the industry.

She was boosting ahead in her career with back to back movies, where she used to be seen either in a special song or a special role.

At such a juncture, the actress took off from films, and said that it was for the treatment of her breast cancer.

Hamsanandini’s cancer was in stage 3 by the time she had gotten it diagnosed. She went through a rigorous process, including 16 sessions of chemotherapy, go ensure that the cancer wouldn’t recur.

Despite that, it was said that there was a 70% chance that it would recur, because of her genetics.

Hamsanandini’s mother had fought against cancer 18 years ago, but couldn’t win sadly. Talking about the same, Hamsanandini said that she decided not to let cancer get the better of her and continued to take up projects and balance her health and films.

She shared her journey with breast cancer on the occasion of this year’s Women’s Day.
