GVMC officials demolished constructions belonging to brother of Palla Srinivasa Rao

GVMC officials and state revenue officials demolished the constructions belonging to MLA Palla Srinivas Rao’s brother Palla Shankar Rao. The officials said that these constructions in the Visakhapatnam district were built on government land. On seeing this, many opposition leaders expressed their view that the YCP govt is intentionally demolishing the buildings of the opposition party leaders. The officials seized 12.5 acres of land in Tunglam and 5 acres of land in Jaggarajupeta belonging to Palla Shankar Rao.

Palla Shankara Rao said that he brought the land in Tunglam from 56 farmers in 1992, which the officials say he had occupied. He said that the revenue officials demolished the construction without giving any notice prior. He said that he will approach the High court of Andhra Pradesh seeking justice.
