To ensure transparency in the recruitment process, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the officials, not to conduct any personal interviews for the jobs in the Government sector and only concentrate on the written examinations alone. The young CM also ordered the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to follow the same.
In a review meeting conducted for filling vacant positions in government, Jagan took the above decision, that is now being considered as a historical one. It will come into effect from January 2020.
The personal interviews are often being compromised by the candidates, lobbying to get the jobs and even the interviewers are demanding to pay huge amounts of money to offer an employment. Such situations are making the eligible but poor candidates to give up on the jobs. Adding to it, the ineligible, but rich candidates are bagging the jobs and thus bringing down the quality of the entire system.

Unwilling to repeat such situations anymore, Jagan considering the written test as the one and only eligibility, deserves a loud appreciation. The aspiring government job holders are now lauding the young CM and are thanking them on his official social media accounts, with the numerous messages from time to time.
