Back in 2015, Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh tried to stop the Beef festival that was taking place in Osmania University, with the means of physical violence. He was even reported to have misbehaved with Police personnel itself.
A case was then registered against Raja Singh, by the Bolarum Police Station. The case was in investigation until now. Today, the Nampalli Special Court has passed its judgement, by sentencing Raja Singh for 1 Year jail time, for his behavior at the Beef festival.
Post the sentence, the court granted Singh with bail, and gave him a time period of one month, before which he can appeal before the High Court. If even the High Court gives a similar judgement, then Singh will have to definitely do jail time.
Further details about the verdict are still awaited.
