Gloves off, Naidu takes on Modi and Jagan to warn electorate

Amaravati:Election fever is picking up with the filing of nomination papers for the first phase of polls come to an end today evening.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who has two-front war on hand, one against the local rival YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy and on the other ‘great betrayal of BJP-led NDA at the centre which had gone back on its promise to accord ‘Special Status Category’ the state.

If voting YSRCP to power in the state may prove fatal to overall development of the state as he claims to have put on ‘faster trajectory’, then prevent from Modi to returning to the power may as well prove death-knell to ‘justice’ never ever be met by the Centre.

Campaigning by almost all major contenders in the state – ruling TDP, YSRCP and Pavan Kalyan-led Jana Sena –  is generating needed heat adding to soaring summer temperatures.

On the other hand, YSRCP is drawing huge crowds as Jaganmohan Reddy is riding high on various pollsters projections.  Large-scale exodus from the disgruntled TDP activists, including some veterans and Nandamuri family members, may be new ‘tonic’ that working on the psyche of Jaganmohan Reddy to stay rejuvenated.

Naidu, who is quite often described by many political analysts as the shrewdest political maverick in modern day politics, opts to stay focused of party’s emphatic victory to return back to power.  He has already effectively executed skew of welfare schemes like ‘old age pensions’ or ‘hike in Dwakra women earnings’ or ‘doubling unemployment doles to youth’, or ‘ongoing rapid industrialization’ in the state ever since he took over the reins, is confident  of returning back to power.

In one of his election meeting, Naidu had also tried to lure the minority votes raking up the post-Godhra massacre in Gujarat for which Modi was directly responsible as Chief Minister.  He reminded the minority community members among the crowds ‘your safety will be put to risk, if you vote to the BJP or YSRCP, as the latter has entered into discreet understanding with Modi, to overcome serious criminal cases that are being faced by Jaganmohan Reddy.

Contrary to this, YSRCP is leaving no stone unturned to ‘convince’ the electorate of the so called ‘misrule’ of the TDP , will fetch them votes.

Thus far, the gloves are off, and the electioneering in remaining two weeks likely to become more curious and effective as all major party leaders set to go for ‘free for all-kind fight’
