The Telangana High Court cancelled the bail of Yerri Gangi Reddy on Thursday. Gangi Reddy is the primary accused in YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case. He has been directed by the HC to surrender before the CBI court by May 5th, and the court even gave the CBI permission to arrest Gangi Reddy if he doesn’t surrender.
The HC also ruled that Gangi Reddy may be granted bail on July 1 on a personal bond of Rs. 1.50 lakhs. On the other hand, the time duration for the CBI to complete the case has been extended till June 30th, by the Supreme Court, which had earlier asked the CBI to wrap up investigation by April 30th.
Gangi Reddy was arrested by the Special Investigation team of the Andhra Pradesh Police on March 28th 2019, but Gangi Reddy came out on bail issued by a local court in Pulivendula on June 17, 2019, as the SIT failed to file a charge sheet in the specified period.
