Former MP & TDP leader Sabbam Hari, who had been receiving treatment for Covid-19 for some time, passed away due to the virus complications. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Visakhapatnam.
Sabbam Hari tested positive for coronavirus a few days ago. He was initially in home isolation, as per the doctors’ recommendation. However, he was later admitted to the hospital.
Doctors said Sabbam Hari was in critical condition today. As per reports, he had other infections along with Covid.
Sabbam Hari served as the Mayor of Visakhapatnam. He later won as an MP from the Congress party. He was known as one of the closest to the late Chief Minister YSR family.
The 68-year-old was one of the people who accompanied YS Jagan on his political journey during his disagreement with Congress. But then things changed, and he distanced himself from YS Jagan. After that, he stayed away from politics for a while. Later, Hari joined the TDP. In the last assembly elections, he contested from Bheemili constituency and lost to his opponent.
