Former Vijayawada MLA Yalamanchili Ravi has suffered a cardiac arrest. His family members rushed him to Andhra Hospital for emergency treatment. However, doctors who conducted several tests on Ravi said there is no danger to his life and his condition is stable for now.
Yelamanchili Ravi was elected to the State Assembly with Chiranjeevi’s PRP ticket by defeating Congress contestant Rajasekhar in 2009. He switched to the Congress party only after PRP was united with the national party.
The veteran leader has a good following in Vijayawada city, particularly in Vijayawada-East constituency, which he represented in 2009. In 2014, he did not contest the elections. He later changed his loyalties to the TDP after State bifurcation.
